Wahiawa Botanical Garden

The Wahiawa Botanical Garden is a gorgeous tropical rainforest garden in central Oahu, featuring different types of tropical flora along its trails. The Garden is one of the most affordable places to hold a ceremony while enjoying the tropical foliage and trees.

The Wahiawa Botanical Garden is not just a must-visit for tourists visiting the island of Oahu, but is also a gorgeous spot to hold a smaller and more intimate wedding ceremony or destination elopement. The garden is home to plenty of tropical plants, and is a beautiful spot to exchange your vows.

The trails are a perfect spot to take pre-ceremony photos with bridesmaids and groomsmen, as the trees and plants provide a beautiful background. For brides who love to be surrounded by nature and greenery, this place is absolute tropical paradise.

One of the best things about Wahiawa Botanical Garden is that it costs absolutely nothing to hold your wedding ceremony here and anything you can get for free is a wonderful thing. While you do have to apply for a wedding ceremony and photography permit at least three weeks before your wedding day, you can have a gorgeous wedding ceremony at no cpst at the Wahiawa Botanical Garden. The Garden can accommodate up to 30 guests per wedding ceremony.

One of the challenges brides may encounter is the limited number of parking stalls. The Garden is a public place, so parking may be in short supply during the wedding, as other visitors may be present in the venue. It would be a good idea to locate alternative parking nearby, or encourage guests to carpool.

What you may like:

The Garden provides couples with a free wedding ceremony location. The park truly is gorgeous, with beautiful tropical plants and trees, and gorgeous trails.

What you may not like:

Since it’s a public place, other visitors may walk into or past your ceremony, and parking may be a challenge, as there are only around a dozen parking stalls available. Permits for equipment will also need to be secured, so thoroughly coordinating with the park is a must.
