Kaimea Estate is nestled along Kalaniana’ole Highway, around 15 minutes away from downtown Honolulu, making it very easy to access by car. The gorgeous property features a beautiful waterfront lawn for outdoor celebrations and a quiet and secluded main house for relaxing, getting ready and for picture perfect intimate dinners. If you want to have a celebration in central Honolulu yet enjoy privacy and exclusivity, this location is perfect for you.

Couples also have the option to hold the reception dinner indoors, especially for m0re intimate celebrations. The interior of the house is bright and charming, with a rustic feel. It’s also a great place to take portraits.

Kaimea Estates offers a gorgeous lawn right outside of the house. The outdoor area overlooks the water, and provides a romantic backdrop for any celebration. You can choose to hold your ceremony and reception overlooking the water. Although it is not a large property, it is best for weddings with a guest count less than 50 people.

One of the best things about Kaimea Estates is that you can be sure that your wedding is the only one happening at the venue, and you can enjoy the exclusivity and privacy that it offers. The area is also beautiful and can be easily decorated to match your theme. The indoor lighting is also soft and romantic, perfect for wedding celebrations.

Hale Punakai isn’t as easily identifiable as other larger wedding venues on Waze or Google Maps, so detailed directions, descriptions and signs would be helpful for your guests and vendors. The estate is ready to accommodate any power needs necessary for vendors such as DJs, musicians or other Oahu wedding vendors.

Parking on property is very limited. Shuttle services for your guests are included with all wedding packages offered by Kaimea Estates which makes getting to and from the venue a breeze.

What you may like:

The estate is ideal for couples who value exclusivity, fresh breezes, gorgeous seascape and Hawaiian charm. With its Aloha-inspired decor, florals at every turn, and magazine worthy oceanside views, Hale Punakai is a hidden gem of a wedding venue as long you are okay with its limited guest count capacity. It’s also a unique property and is definitely bound to leave an impression to your guests.

What you may not like:

Sound must be kept to a minimum and it is recommended that wedding celebrations begin slightly earlier than usual and end before it gets to late in the evening. The private property does not offer much of a large space for bigger guest counts so a large wedding event (60+) may be off the table.
